It's in the DNA

My sis is an artist as well. A regular jack of all trades. Moving from one project, to another, in different avenues her entire adult life. As of late, she has been volunteering to make quilts for children of the poor. She is turning out, in my opinion, some stunning work.
The first quilt was made for another sis of mine who had gifted her a Hawaiian vacation. Her daughter-in-law offered to donate money to her charity if she could make her a quilt. Apparently, they scouted out some turtles when on vacay and she decided to include them . I thought it turned out beautiful.
The second is a clever idea someone came up with to make interactive quilts. My sis decided to use the theme of butterflies. It allows the child to play with it because it is 3 dimensional. Some of the butterfly wings are not attached. I can just imagine a little baby girl lying and playing with it for hours. I am so proud of her for turning out work, that any artist would be proud of, and helping the poor as well. Her youngest daughter is following in her footsteps only her blankets are crocheted.

Yesterday's Hair Brain Scheme
Sep. 28th, 2026 11:05 am
What I thought yesterday is not what I think today. This little box with all the knowledge stored within it keeps my world coming to a dead stop, and also spinning out of control. I came to the conclusion that working on a image digitally was not as satisfying as using color theory with gardening, crocheting, sewing, and painting. I wish, I could value what occurs in the little box as the other things I have created, but, alas I do not.
I think it stems from what occurred with creating a world in my Oculus. I started down the avenue of learning Unity. I worked over-time (required) with these worn-out brain cells. Microsoft came in and bought the app, and touted it was going to use it in beneficial ways. They then shut it down. I was left with nothing after hours work. I thought, that I was over it, but it keeps rearing its ugly head.
I came across an app on Painnt that turns images into lace. I decided, I would take an image that I had converted with a transparent background, and turn into a crocheted piece of work. This was my solution to having something I could look at, and feel with using a digital image.

The scheme then took another turn for the worse. I decided to us Google AI to make me a pattern for it instead of me figuring it out for myself. Here are the results

Today's thoughts- Do I really want to invest money, time and energy for a bee, that I don't want, and have no purpose for? I don't even know if AI knows how to make a pattern because it has certainly misled me before. And futhermore Gemini stop greeting me with "What's your vibe?" I didn't even say that when it was in vogue. Escaped another one of my creative thoughts just in time. They are becoming more frequent with age.

Celebrating Another Year
Apr. 19th, 2026 04:25 am
A trip planned by my sister and me for my birthday resulted in many multi-beautiful moments for me concerning my family. But, one stand out moment, as an artist, who loves herself some color occurred. On our return to DFW airport there was a thunderstorm awaiting us. I decided, to pay attention because I had never viewed one from above. I wasn't disappointed in what I viewed. The aircraft moved through it. Pink, Pink, Pink cloud it was. The sun was setting, and the clouds turned into what I perceived as a forest. I swear it could have been a watercolor. Never to late to learn a little sumpin...sumpin...Looking this one up.

My Introduction to AI using family photos...
A two and half year battle with covid killed my brother right before Christmas this year. I have never witnessed anybody struggle so hard to take another breathe. His death wasn’t because he didn’t try. Covid death count in my family is up to 4. Curiosity had me research which single event in history caused the most deaths. Covid is in the top 10. So...I found a way to occupy my mind through the grief and isolation. Image left to right Ebrada, Captain, Charron, & Izzy
